Lutindi Mental Hospital is a private mental health facility in the scenic Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. Most patients are from the big cities and are addicted to alcohol or illegal drugs, or have schizophrenia or psychosis. Much emphasis is placed on occupational therapy in a rural setting that differs as much as possible from the big city.

The idea is to take care of the animals so that they can be released back into the wild. It is also important to educate the public about wildlife in Hungary and that exotic animals are not pets.
