About the stray dog project

Du unterstützt eine Rettungsstation für Straßenhunde in Thailand, die rund 400 Hunde aufnehmen kann. Die Hunde werden von der Straße geholt, gepflegt, kastriert und nach Möglichkeit in ein neues Zuhause vermittelt. Das Wohl der Hunde hat dabei immer oberste Priorität. Auch kranke oder verletzte Hunde finden ein Platz in der Auffangstation und werden gesund gepflegt.

Your tasks in the project

In the stray dog project, the welfare of the dogs is always the top priority. Your tasks at the volunteer site are also geared towards this. You walk them, play with them and groom them. Many of the street dogs at the rescue center are fearful and shy of people due to their history. You help them to slowly get used to people again.

When you're not looking after the dogs, you might be preparing the food or cleaning the site and the enclosures.

Your daily routine in the project

You work on the project from Monday to Friday. Your working day always starts at around 9:30 am. You have a break at lunchtime, during which you can eat the lunch you have brought with you. You agree with the team on site when you take your break. Your working day in the animal welfare project ends at around 5 pm.
