The goal of our field volunteer program is to contribute to sustainable development in the area of the Inner Ionian island archipelago in Greece. For this activity we monitor two things: seagrass monitoring (June to September) and Mediterannean monk seal monitoring (year round). Volunteers can participate in either activty or potentially both.
Inquisitive and highly motivated people are needed for the whale project on the beautiful island of Tenerife. Among other things, the aim is to collect research data on the pilot whales that live here in order to protect the whale population. There also needs to be education about animal and environmental protection and the consequences of whaling.

The aim of this animal-loving project is to provide a home for exotic animals that have been mistreated or abandoned. The idea is to take care of the animals so that they can be released back into the wild. It is also important to educate the public about wildlife in Hungary and that exotic animals are not pets.
Set in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, this sanctuary currently homes over 100 mistreated and abused bears. Rescued from cramped cages and tourist attractions, these bears can now enjoy freedom in the stunning sanctuary. Volunteers mainly help with food preparation and other ad hoc sanctuary tasks, watched over by the bears. Day trips for school groups are available.
Join the conservation team and help save the sea turtles of Kefalonia from extinction by getting involved in a range of hands on activities such as surveying nesting beaches, observing and identifying turtles, measuring light pollution and rescuing hatchlings.
