The working hours are usually from Monday to Friday from 9 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. The project can be reached by foot or by public transport.
Our partner project supports children and young people with mental and/or physical disabilities. Here in the centre they receive the necessary attention and care. It is also a meeting place for their parents and siblings.
People with disabilities face various difficulties all over the world. Here in Tanzania, these people often suffer a lot because disabilities are seen as a shame and instead of supporting these people adequately, they are hidden in the houses. There is a lot of ignorance and education is very rare.
In this project, you can get involved in various areas and not only contribute your knowledge and ideas, but also learn a lot from the local caregivers and exchange experiences. You can take on various tasks here; patience and understanding with the people on site are the top priorities.
Furthermore, depending on your skills, you can conduct therapy sessions yourself or play with the children and take care of them.
In addition, the centre runs an Out Reach programme to support up to 120 children in the area, who are unable to come to the centre.
Support this wonderful project and help to spread more understanding for people with disabilities and to give the children and young people the care they need every day.
