The working hours are usually from Monday to Friday from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon. The projects can be reached by public transport from the volunteer accommodation.
Sport is a way for many children and young people to learn and experience self-confidence and cohesion. Our partner project offers football training and competitions especially for disadvantaged children and young people.
They will discover and develop their spiritual and mental abilities while having fun playing football and will also be trained in various other subjects. By regularly playing a team sport, qualities such as teamwork, self-control and discipline will be strengthened, which will help the children and young people later in life.
In addition, some projects are involved in various initiatives for and in the community. Besides organizing various sports activities, competitions and training of coaches, they also offer health and sports promotion. Furthermore, they have made it their mission to promote young talents. Some players of the Tanzanian national team started their football career in this club.
If you enjoy playing football and have perhaps already gained some coaching experience yourself, then you have the opportunity to get involved in one of our projects here in Arusha.
There are various tasks where you can get involved according to your own skills and wishes. You can help with the football trainings in the local communities or go to the competitions to support the teams.
You can also help the organizations with fundraising, maintaining the social networks of the club or with coach education.
There are no limits to your creativity. The project is looking forward to your support.
