Nursery

During your volunteer work in a nursery, you will look after and care for children between the ages of 1 and 3. You will also encourage their creative and motor skills through singing, crafts and games. You can contribute your own ideas.

Kindergarten and preschool

Creativity is particularly important for your volunteer work in this project. Initially, you will support the local teachers. Later, you will also have the opportunity to teach yourself and contribute your ideas. You will also help with lesson planning and homework supervision.

Children´s Center

This place is something special. Children between the ages of 1 and 12 are individually cared for and taught here. During your volunteer work there, you can work in a nursery or kindergarten as well as in an elementary school.

Youth-Center

The youth-center is committed to helping disadvantaged young people in Zanzibar. You impart knowledge and valuable skills to the young people, helping to give them better prospects for the future.

Care for children with disabilities

During your volunteer work at the placement for children with disabilities, you will support the staff on site with all the tasks that arise. This requires a lot of patience and a high sense of responsibility. Volunteering in this area is only possible with previous experience.

Social work with traumatized girls and women

In this project, you will support a drop-in centre for traumatized girls and young women. With your volunteer work, you can help them to lead a more self-confident life. For example, you give them English lessons and teach them valuable skills.

Finding foster families

Your volunteer placement will endeavor to find caring foster families for children without a caregiver. During your volunteer work, you will provide support.
