Join our care project in the Galapagos Islands and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children in local kindergartens. By volunteering, you will help organize engaging activities that promote early childhood development, addressing the critical need for personalized attention in overcrowded childcare centers. Many teachers and carers are stretched thin, making your support invaluable for children, particularly those with disabilities and special needs, ensuring they can keep up with their peers.

If you have a lively spirit, enjoy the company of young children, and want to contribute positively to their early learning experiences, this project is for you! You will not only enhance the children's development but also gain hands-on childcare experience that is beneficial if you are considering a career in this field. Whether you're an experienced educator or new to childcare, there’s no need to worry. You’ll work alongside local teachers and carers, with our staff available to guide and support you. You’ll also have access to a rich database of teaching resources, including games and crafts, to enrich your activities.

Your main role will involve supporting teachers and carers in various tasks, such as helping children with reading, writing, and counting. You’ll plan fun, interactive activities to teach basic skills and promote healthy living habits. Your involvement will significantly enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities and special needs, making a lasting difference in their early development.

You’ll have the opportunity to work in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno or in El Progreso, a charming village in the Highlands. Start dates are flexible, with a minimum duration of just one week. Upon arrival at San Cristobal Island Airport (SCY), you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our staff, ready to support your journey in this incredible environment.

Hébergement & repas :

You will stay with a host family in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno or you will stay in our eco-reserve with other volunteers. Wherever you stay, you will be welcome, and local people will be willing to share their customs and talk about their culture. Your room will be simple, but comfortable, clean, and safe. The cost of the program includes three meals a day.
