Peru: Teaching at local schools!

Since Cusco and the surrounding areas are major tourist hubs, English classes are central to your work. Only with a good command of English can the children later on find the secure jobs and job opportunities that come with the tourist development in the region. Unfortunately, there are too few teachers in Peruvian schools. State support and further education programs, as they exist in Germany, France, or Switzerland, are very scarce in Peru. It is financially impossible for the children and most prospective Peruvian teachers to participate in language studies abroad that would provide them quality, immersive language education.

You are in demand as a role model!

It’s a special concern for this organization to give the children a better future, to inspire them, to give them role models, to encourage them to look ahead, and to accompany them on their developing path in life.
This is not only about teaching in the classical sense. This project is also about seeing and promoting the children's ideas through your international exchange with them. It is about encouraging them to strive for what their creativity, their ideas, and their passions can provide for them...often conveying this in a playful way.
In sports, music, during breaks and in interactions outside of the curriculum, these things can often be understood and observed better than in the classrooms.

Your Impact

This project gives you the opportunity to understand the life and culture of children in Peru.
Through your personal influence you will help support the children in realizing the potential their lives can have with a good general education and English knowledge. This project is also about creating a lasting impact through inspiration, which strengthens the individual abilities of the children.
