About teaching at a school
The organization will find you a placement based on your previous knowledge and the school's needs. Teaching at a school in Namibia is suitable for trainee teachers and qualified teachers. You can apply your knowledge in a practical way and bring new ideas into the classroom. It is always welcome if you incorporate your own interests and abilities. If you are musically, artistically or athletically talented, you should definitely pass something on to the students.
Your tasks at a school
At your school in Namibia, you will quickly take on a class of your own. You plan the lessons, teach them and thus support the local teachers. As a rule, you will take on German classes. It may also be possible to teach other subjects in which you have specialized or want to specialize during your studies.
Occasionally, you may also be asked to cover for one of your colleagues on site and take over their lessons. New ideas for lesson planning, such as educational games or group work, are welcome.
Your daily routine at a school
Your exact working hours depend on your place of work and will be discussed with you on site. In principle, you will work a maximum of 40 hours over 5 days a week. On your days off, you can discover the diversity of Namibia. For example, experience the impressive desert landscape on a safari or explore the quiver tree forest.
