About the volunteer work in South Africa

Your place of work is in Cape Town, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. During your volunteer work, you will be employed as an all-round helper in technical matters. You can make an enormous contribution, especially since you will be used to maintain schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions. Your active help benefits the children and improves the quality of their learning environment.

Your tasks in the project

During your volunteer work, you will work both outdoors and indoors. Your tasks include, in particular, repairs. These can be to chairs, tables, roofs and sanitary facilities. If you have already gained experience in the field of craftsmanship, you can get more involved in a specific area by arrangement. However, your area of responsibility may also include painting, mowing the lawn or cleaning the pool.

Your daily routine in the project

Your day usually starts around 8 am. Depending on your activities, your working day ends between 1 and 4 pm. In between, you will of course have breaks from time to time. After work, you can enjoy yourself. A trip to the colorful Bo-Kaap district in Cape Town or a trip to Table Mountain will round off your day perfectly.
