Our Thailand program gives you the opportunity to discover the most beautiful places in this exotic country. Also you get the chance to support an animal protection program with elephants in real need to be supported in Thailand. You will get to see how Buddhism is omnipresent here, see breathtaking temples and monks there and will surely be fascinated by the respectful culture you find here.
After your arrival in Thailand we head of course to Bangkok first to directly jump into the adventure! This vibrant, colourful and lively city with its variety of impressions, smells and sounds will directly bring you into another world. We get to see some typical temples here and the famous Golden Mountain that gives you a fantastic view of the sunset! After this big city life we move on to the Erawan National Park! A mecca for a variety of different monkeys living here. You won`t believe it is just 30 minutes away from Bangkok!
Next phase of our trip is to see Chiang Mai, typically for Thailands culture and not as busy as Bangkok! Here just get a bit around, discover hidden places and try some food. Absolutely authentical here! Besides this we also do a tour with you to the Golden Triangle where the waters of Thailand, Burma and Laos cross each other.
After that we head on with you to the volunteering project. This project takes care of rescued elephants who have been brought here because of various reasons and to live in freedom. Unfortunately the number of elephants dropped from 100.000 over 100 years ago to only a maximum of 5000 animals living in the wilderness and more than 4000 registered ones working under cruel conditions in the tourism and entertainment industry. In this project they find peace and educational work to raise public awareness is done to help creating a better future for these majestic animals. Besides elephants there are also some rescued cats and dogs here on site which are taken care of.
After this volunteering project we had for a final phase into the woods of Thailand for a jungle training and get to know the culture more! For this we head to Sukhotai and Kanchanaburi. A last and final stop we take in Koh Tao where you can relax at Thailands beautiful beaches before you head home with a lot of new and valuable impressions!
