About the Tiger Project
Tigers in Nepal are threatened with extinction. The main reasons for this are poaching, habitat loss and conflicts between humans and animals. To counteract this, the non-profit organization was founded in 2010 and has been committed to wildlife conservation ever since. On the edge of Chitwan National Park, the team conducts research into the behavior of tigers and raises awareness among local communities about nature and species conservation.
Your tasks in the project
The tasks in the tiger project are divided into different areas. One area of responsibility is field work. Among other things, data on tigers and other wild animals is collected and evaluated, and camera traps are set up.
Another area of activity is supporting anti-poaching projects. You will visit schools and communities with the team. You will give lectures on wildlife conservation and tigers and raise awareness of the issues. You will also create and distribute information material on the topic. Furthermore, you will actively support the organization in clean-up campaigns.
Your daily routine in the project
You will work five days a week and have two days off per week. These days off will not necessarily fall on the weekend, as there is work to be done every day of the project. Your work day will start at around 10:00 a.m. and end around 3:00 p.m. These times may vary depending on the tasks that need to be completed. You will be provided with lunch at the project site.
