Description du projet et du rôle des volontaires

Our howler monkey rehabilitation project in Argentina takes place in Tiu Mayu nature reserve, surrounded by the greenery of the beautiful Sierra de Cordoba. Softer than the nearby Andes and not far away for vibrant Cordoba city, this is a welcoming place where you can immerse yourself in the wonders of Argentin nature and feel strongly the desire to look after it.
There are mountains, forest, waterfalls, and rivers to explore in the Tiu Mayu reserve - and, also, here you can find the only primate center in Argentina and the only one in the world taking care of the amazing Howler Monkeys.
Join us, and help with the rehabilitation of Howler Monkeys, Pumas and other wild animals rescued from illegal trafficking.

Howler Monkeys rehabilitation project activities in Argentina

There are tons of things to do, all with the aim of rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals. Above all, we welcome Howler Monkeys, but we also care for Pumas, other wild animals and abandoned dogs. The three main areas of work are:

  • the rehabilitation of the animals, sometimes involving socialization,
  • feeding animals,
  • maintaining the enclosures.

Thanks to a physical, psychological and social rehabilitation program, day after day, you can live the intense experience of seeing these animals slowly being able to be wild again, after being torn from their natural habitat.
You will be working with passionate and expert biologists, who will be able to teach you how to care for wild animals in these circumstances.
This is the ideal project for adventurers and nature lovers. Plus, it’s perfect for anyone interested in conservation, zoology, biology, or environmental science. You gain hands-on experience and familiarize yourself with these professions in practice.
You don’t need any specific requirements or previous experience to join us.
The project is available throughout the year, so you can join when it suits your plans.
