In the tropical island of Zanzibar, fruits such as mango, guava, citrus fruits, avocados and bananas are cultivated, as well as vegetables such as cucumbers and tomatoes. They are mainly harvested to be sold at the local markets where residents of the area buy them for domestic consumption. This makes it cost effective, as imported fruits & vegetables (e.g. from mainland Tanzania) tend to be more costly.
Mr. Foum who operates one of these farms will be your supervisor throughout your internship duration. You can discuss the exact contents of your remote internship with him.
